About DOGWORLD
My name is Nicholas Broten and DOGWORLD is a collection of my dog drawings, past and present.
I started drawing funny and weird dogs years ago, but it was during the summer of 2021(?) when I realised how important dogs were to people. I started a project on Instagram called 'A Dog a Day to Give Away', drawing a dog every day and giving it to whoever wanted it. Eventually, people started requesting a dog drawing for their loved ones, or a drawing in memoriam. These were the most profound ones and ones that resonated most.
Dogs are weird, wonderful and are part of our lives and I want to celebrate that fact.

MARTY
This is Marty.
Marty is a chihuahua. Marty is my muse. Marty is a very doggy dog, if you know what I mean. He chases balls, does tricks for treats, rolls in things, eats poo, barks at everything. And he is lovely. Unless you're a stranger...then you're toast.
ANDREW
Andrew is a fine and delicate chihuahua. He lays with his legs crossed and is so dignified and beautiful he makes me want to cry. Andrew likes to harass Marty from time to time, but everyone knows who is really in charge...
